We support people who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness.
Support Workers provide quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams. Our customer is seeking a support worker, preferably female, to assist him for various day and night shifts over the week.
Ventilator management, hoisting and peg feeding
Providing clinical and personal care (including bowel care)
Working in partnership with the person and their family to provide excellent well-rounded support.
Problem solving issues with the individuals, their families and the Support Worker team
What we require:
Experience in disabilities (preferred) comprehensive training will also be provided
Experience in ventilator management is desirable but not essential
A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle are essential
Strong values that align with those of Avivo
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
Availability to work various shifts Monday to Sunday including some overnight awake shifts.
In return, you will have access to some great benefits! Salary is a minimum rate of $21.90 per hour whilst training and then once deemed competent by our nurse consultants will increase to $26.85 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation. The option of salary packaging is also available to increase your non-taxable income!
