About the Role

 

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Support Worker to join our specialist CATCH team to enable a young customer in the Rockingham area to continue living life to the fullest. You will be required to work a variety of overnight awake shifts throughout the week (including weekends) with some shifts finishing at 7am the following morning.

 

Duties include:

  • Providing a range of high care support services including Tracheostomy care
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the individuals and the Support Worker team
  • Reporting issues and hazards as required to the Team Facilitator/Service Coordinator

 

What we require:

  • Prior experience in clinical work is desirable however comprehensive training is also provided
  • A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle are essential
  • Strong values that align with those of Avivo
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
  • A working with children check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Must currently live in the Rockingham area or surrounding suburbs
  • Availability to work across a range of days & times including overnight awake shifts and weekends.

In return, you will have access to some great benefits! Salary is a minimum rate of $21.90 per hour whilst training and then once deemed competent by our nurse consultants will increase to $26.85 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation. The option of salary packaging is also available to increase your non-taxable income! In addition to this, you will be paid travel time and kilometres, receive comprehensive training and generate Annual and Personal leave.

 

Making an appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
