SUPPORT WORKER - Permanent Part-time

We support people who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness. Support Workers play an important role in our organisation. They provide quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams.
This role would be suited to candidates with experience in challenging behaviours and disabilities. If you are the person who could be part of this team then you will need to be reliable, have a positive outlook, be flexible, resilient and be happy to use your initiative.
Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
Providing a range of support services including, social supports and personal care.
What we require:
Experience in Disability is preferred
Strong values that align with those of Avivo
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle are essential
The successful applicant will be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9am - 11am. Additional shifts may also be offered.
Must be currently residing in the local area or surrounding suburbs
In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A minimum rate of $25.50 per hour is on offer as is a travel allowance of 76 cents per kilometre between supports. Other benefits include the payment of travel time, option of salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum, and accrued annual and personal leave.
Making an appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
