Support Workers play an important role in our organisation in providing quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams.


Our customer is looking for a dedicated Support Worker, to provide daily support in his Darch home. This role would be suited to a candidate with experience in providing domestic and personal care as well as support for complex needs.


Duties include:

  • Assisting with meals and meal preparation, domestic tasks and community outings and activities
  • Providing personal care including catheter care, suctioning, manual handling (hoisting) and all other care needs
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the individual, their family and the Support Worker team
  • Working collaboratively in a self driven, dynamic team

 Selection criteria:

  • Previous experience in Support Work in Disability and/or Aged Care is essential
  • Previous experience in high care and complex support needs
  • Competent in using SMS and emails for team communication
  • Strong values that align with those of Avivo
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and think outside the box
  • A current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Able to work Monday to Sunday  shifts from 8am to 2pm
  • Must be currently residing in the local area or surrounding suburbs

In return, successful candidates will receive an hourly rate of $25.50 plus super including the option of salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free! Pay for travel time and kilometres between supports is also on offer as well as comprehensive training opportunities.
