SUPPORT WORKER

Avivo is a leading Community Services organisation providing person-centered support for people in the Aged Care, Disability and Mental Health areas

 

We are looking for a friendly, flexible and caring Support Worker to support a customer living in the Jurien Bay area.

 

The role will involve a broad spectrum of care needs from attending social and community events to assistance with daily domestic tasks. The customer enjoys keeping active, photography and crafts as well as attending various social events.

 

Duties include:

  • Providing social support, community access and domestic assistance
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the individuals and the Support Worker team

 

What we require:

  • Support work experience (desirable)
  • Experience in Autism (desirable)
  • An interest in providing domestic assistance and social support
  • Ability to think outside the box and solve problems
  • A supportive, flexible and can do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work 2-4 hours per week (hours may increase)
  • A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential)

In return, you will receive a minimum rate of $21.90 per hour with access to salary package up to $15,900. You will also be paid travel time and kilometres and receive comprehensive training.

 

Applicants must live in or close to Jurien Bay.

 

Making an appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
