We are looking for a team of dedicated Support Workers to support a gentleman with all aspects of his daily life.
We are recruiting Support Workers (ideally experienced in disability) to work with a professional man currently in City Beach and ideally assist him in maintaining his independence. Although no timeframe has been confirmed, this gentleman will be moving to the Nedlands area.
This role would be suited to candidates who are dedicated to the needs and wishes of supported individuals, encouraging and supporting them to make their own decisions, develop their abilities and grow their relationships.
Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual
Providing personal care, domestic support and social care
Problem solving issues with the individual and the Support Worker team
Previous experience in Support Work in Disability is preferred, especially with spinal cord injury
Strong values that align with those of Avivo
Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and think outside the box
A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
Ability to work a variety of shifts across the week, including weekends
Must be available for shifts Monday to Sunday mornings
Must be currently residing in or around the geographical areas stated above.
Bowel care experience is preferred but not essential as full, comprehensive training will be provided.
In return, successful candidates will receive a minimum hourly rate from $25.50 plus super, including the option of salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free (terms and conditions apply), as well as comprehensive training opportunities.
