We support people who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness. Support Workers play an important role in our organisation. They provide quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams.
We are looking for an outgoing and energetic Support Worker with a passion for working with people to assist a young and vibrant customer within the Mandurah area. Our customer loves music, netball and enjoys connecting to the local community.
Supporting our customer to develop community connections, seeking alternatives to employment and social supports.
Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
Reporting issues and hazards as required to the Team Facilitator/Service Coordinator
What we require:
Previous experience in disability
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle are essential
Availability to work various weekday afternoon/evening shifts, each Friday and alternate weekend work is also available.
In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A minimum rate of $21.90 per hour is on offer as is a travel allowance of 76 cents per kilometre between supports. Other benefits include the payment of travel time, salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum, and accrued annual and personal leave.
Making an appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
